Sleeping Giant Summer Show
Sleeping Giant takes over John Zorn’s East Village club The Stone for two sets of new works by Timothy Andres, Christopher Cerrone, Jacob Cooper, Ted Hearne, Robert Honstein, and Andrew Norman. At 8pm, Ted and frequent SG collaborator, soprano Mellissa Hughes (with Timo at piano) trade off performing vocal music by all six giants. At 10pm, violinist Miki Sophia Cloud, the Heavy Hands Bass Quartet, percussionist Owen Weaver, and cellist Richard Vaudrey perform more works by the giants.
$10 for one set / $15 for both. An after party will take place at Glen Cornett’s Spectrum.
